1600 is plenty. Max up hill will be around 800-900. If turned up could go up to 1000 at the most 1200. Pittsburgh power box cuts back power at 1200 I think. But would be 700 plus HP's

I have my 12.7 cranked up a bit. I hardly ever get above 900 on the hardest/longest pulls on the hottest days. If I do bump over that, it is usually because I wasn't watching things and failed to shift when I should have and got the RPM's up a little. Sometimes I might let it go over a little and not shift because I am about to crest the hill anyway. I have never come close to bumping 1200. Most mine has ever seen is maybe, just maybe, 1100. Most I can recall for sure is 1000.

Are you getting one locally or ordering it online? I'm in the market for one as well, just to keep things safe. Also, where on the exhaust should it be tapped?
