I JUST had this issue. Well, it's more like "having" since my truck is currently at a Freightliner dealer in Gary, IN. I was headed down the highway at night in rainy weather when I first lost cruise control and then steadily lost power until the truck engine just turned off and I was coasting. All my lights still worked though. Long story short - called a TA, checked some fuses, and turned the key to the acc position to cycle my gauges. My check engine light didn't come on so they said it's likely the ECM. Got it towed to the dealer. After some diagnostics it was determined that the ECM wasn't getting power due to a short in the Engine wiring harness.
There's a thread on here regarding that issue, (http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...2292-battle-mileage-2007-century-14l-egr.html) and after so many miles that harness has to be replaced. I opted for a short term fix (which is simply running a wire to the ECM to power the truck). But I WILL be buying a new harness (~$500) and installing it myself if I can. It is a 8-10hr+ job for a qualified mechanic to do so it might take ME a day or three lol.
Anyway, once it's running again they're going to check to see if there aren't any other problems that lead to a shut down. I'll update this post if they find anything.baha Thanks this. -
Good luck with that

Still running pretty good with that jumper [power] wire the dealership installed. I still plan on buying the harness once the weather warms up...in April/May
