The Volvo is going to ride better even if it had freight train rails for springs. There's more to the Volvo ride than front springs. The design of the rear air ride suspension, the cab air ride suspension design, and the front suspension too. Freightliner suspensions just ride harsher.
One thing most people don't notice that will make them more tired. Look at the steering wheel. It's not centered up with the seat on the Columbia/Century, plus the engine hump moves in closer to the steering wheel. These things don't seem like much, but drive a truck that has these things more in line with the seated driver, and you will notice a big difference at the end of the day in how you feel.Last edited: Oct 30, 2013

My 07 Colombia has the factory air ride. It eats steer tires and can't be bent for proper alignment. My boss wants to convert it to leaf spring.
