A Ryder rental is likely to be better maintained than something from one of their lessees or from their own internal fleets. That isn't saying much though. They're driven like stolen and maintained at the bare minimum level possible, and when major repairs start to appear they sell them off. People have found decent trucks for sale from them, but I'd be extra wary especially if it seems like a good deal.
2009 cascadia good buy?

That is really a great price I was looking at an 09 today with the 14l series 60 with a 2.79 ratio for 55k here in California is the 2.79 ratio bad or what's the negatives of it?
-
I wouldn't buy an "09" anything at any price . The dpf only trucks suck ...... If you need a truck for Cali .... Save your $$$ and get a truck with def !
gerardo1961 Thanks this. -
3.90's, does it have tall 24's by any chance?
-
the most likely reason its set up with 3.90s, is it was pulling twin 53s or 5 axle 140000lb loads .just look around and you will see a lot of ryder trucks being used for the heavy stuff driven hard in quebec .i run winnipeg to montreal weekly and see a lot of abuse on rental trucks up there
