    05 Freightliner M2.

Started off very faint but now its loud and very distinct. I cant say that its 100% coming from behind the instrument cluster but its between there and the gas pedal. Almost sounds like a tea pot when its boiling. Usually starts around 45 to 55 mph and when the truck is up to temp. It will only make this noise if its under load. I don't think its a air leak and I know its not bleed through coming from the speakers.

    Thanks for any help

Should have mentioned , it has a Mercedes.

    No exhaust brake.

I just had the egr cooler replaced but the noise started a few days prior to having any work done. Ive looked at all the clamps, and piping and everything seems tight and I cant find any areas that look to be leaking.

Does it have a boost gage? If so you may have a leak at the spaghetti line connection, most of the lines come thru the firewall right behind the column. Tight spot and kind a PITA to work on...

It would only do this under load when making boost, when you let off it creates vacuum and sucks itself closed.
