is it a electronic or manual engine. sounds like the wire to fuel solenoid is hey wire since it shuts off when ya disconnect the batts.
I got to ask, has anyone ever heard of simply putting the truck in like 6th gear, holding the brakes and simply choking the thing down? much easier than disconnecting . -
you did that to old cummins motors when you had the pump set to manual. be safe out there

I've seen guys do that, it's kinda hard on the clutch and the engine's crank. It works in a pinch but I've seen guys use it as an alternative to properly fixing the problem. -
that why ya use a higher gear, I am mean in a pinch, rather than disconnecting all the batteries, this guys problem sounds like its a manual engine and the power isn't being cut to the solenoid since it shuts off when batts are disconnected. he should locate the fuel solenoid if he can and disconnect the wire there and see if its shuts down.
I wonder if its a new to him truck or he has had it and it just started?? -
