Looking for some input on a 2008 FTL Classic XL. Has 13sp, DD series 60, 580k miles. Havent been over to test drive yet, trying to decide if it is worth the trip to look at it. Thanks all.

Yes it is, Vagabond. I bought an '08 Columbia last year with 730K miles. I've driven it 135K so far, had one shop repair under $500, 3hrs, didn't miss a mile. Even new trucks can't beat that, or even match it for reliability. I take good care of it, but it's a good truck. So yeah, take it for a spin. Put a trailer on it, don't let them BS you into a bobtail test drive.
One bit of important information: all Freightliner shops are not equal. Some, very good to excellent. Some, not so much. Some, pirates who'll take your last dollar, keep you there for a week, and forget your name when warranty time comes around. Be careful, ask questions.

What model is your engine? I am looking at a few different trucks with the detroit engines and some are series 60 and some are 14L.

DD60 - 12.7L and 14L. Both 60 series. Dependable, good fuel economy, good engines. No, I'm not saying they're better than Cummins, Cat, or Paccar. Better than Maxxforce, though.
