In my experience, you will need someone with a laptop & software that can get into the ECM & knows the password to disable it. I have been in several trucks & two companies that had it disabled. I actually just had it disabled on a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia about 6 weeks ago. It is also a Ryder lease truck.
If its your truck & you own it, you can go to the dealership & they can disable it it for about $100.
Regardless, that is password protected unless someone has previously had the password removed or disabled.

unplug the (transmission input/RPM) speed sensor. this may or may not work for your application. If it does, splice in a toggle switch, preferably on the ground side to eliminate electrical arcing (ground switching = good.)

I can over ride mine by turning off truck brakes and leave on trailer brakes

Right up until you get a trailer that has bad slack adjusters and you park on an incline. Learned that one the hard way:biggrin_25523:

Once you find it, shouldn't be an issue finding it under the trailer. Please bear in mind, the location I listed was on Cascadias. Ask a few O/O's if you can't find it with the same FLD as yours.

Heres my advice: Call a random freightliner dealer, give them the vin and ask them where its located.
