I am temporarily stuck in a 2015 Cascadia Evo with the 12 speed auto. I think it has the 14.0 liter Detroit motor. Anyway picked up a load that ending up scaling at 80100 gross, yet my steers were only at 11000! I slid the 5th wheel ahead as far as I feel comfortable, managed to get steers to 11700. This is with full tanks too.

I am wondering if I load a double pallet in the nose of the trailer instead of a single. Will that shift any weight to the steers? Or is it going to screw the drives up even worse?

Wow! 11700 with the 5th wheel slid all the way up and full tanks? You're sure it's a Cascadia? lol.

What do you mean as far as you feel comfortable? The EVO has extra-long cab extenders -- don't get nervous if they seem closer to the trailer than you're used to (just be aware that you can't jack as sharply)

Will add weight to the nose, but it'll also screw up the drives

Agreed... almost all the coops won't have a problem with 34150 on the drives or tandems, as long as your GVW is below 80k. That 100lbs over gross is going to disappear as you burn off fuel - that's about 13 gallons worth, and the weight on the drives will drop too considering how far back the tanks are on the frame.

11700 with 4 more notches to go, that after having scale 10940 on the steers with 80100 gross with it pulled farther back.

When you are that close to being over 80,000 it is much easier to already have that extra 200 or 300 lbs dumped on your steers. When you are 33900 on the trailer and 33900 on the drives there isn't much else you can do.

I hear you, but I have been pulled into truckee in CA and St Croix in MN being12500 on the steers or close to it, never been hassled over it, even with tires that are rated 6125.
