2009 Cascadia w/ DD15 regen issue

    I have a 09 cascadia with out DEF that the solid regen light came on I started the parked regen, it ran at 17-1800 RPM for 45 min with out stopping but the engine was lopping the hole time. I stopped the regen and the flashing regen light came on. In the time of the regen it burned 1/8 of a tank of fuel ( about 20 gal ). When I stopped it the engine is now lopping at an idle as well could use some advise

    A trip to the dealer is about the only thing you can do. With out a lap top there's no way to tell what's going on.

    Are any idiot lights on ?

    If the regen is not allowed to cycle on it's own,,the engine slows down to 1200,,,then 900,,then returns to normal idle.....the computer will de rate the engine performance,,I think max speed is 50 mph. If you do mostly highway driving it should need a regen unless excessive idling. There are sensers that measure temp and NOX quality that might be bad too...
    as mentioned,,shop needs to plug in a computer....good luck

    . Half a gallon of fuel a minute exhaust would be pouring fuel out .. Early dd15s had problems with the fuel metering valve which rarely throws a code but causes it to lope like it was a cammed up gas engine. Also they have engine wiring harness problems which can cause a lot of false sensor codes . It's hard to find a mechanic who knows that engine well most just change parts till problem or you go away IMO
