    Hi there

I have a 1992 FLD 120 with a cummins N14 I went to start the truck and it cranked for a split second and then there was no power

I replaced all the batteries and still the truck has no electrical power at all

    the dome lights dont work
the gauges dont cycle when you turn the key to the "on" position
you cant turn the headlights on or anything

has anyone experienced this problem before?

Go buy a cheap voltage meter from Autozone ,disconnect all batteries from truck turn voltage meter to DC/20 put black on negative and red on positive voltage should register at least 12.5 on each battery if you find one lower than that that's your problem a good place to start, try and jump it off with cables if you find a bad battery,i dont kno if yours are like mines but look n see if the green light is still lit up if u have da regular batterys i would check fluid level .I would then move on to look at wires, alternator voltage, starter wires, relays and fuses.its a tedious process but it must be done ..hope this helps

In the battery box, follow the negative cable that goes to a welded on frame stud.you are going to have to find a new spot to ground that cable.usually the closest hole in the fraut and me to that stud will do.use a grade 8 bolt and clean the area of paint and rust first.good luck.
