This is document about Mercedes OM460 EPA 2002 engine. 12.7 is Series 60.
OM 460 is 12.8L engine. OM 457 is 12 L engine (a bit shorter stroke, crankshaft and rods differ only).
So surelly 12.7 is Series 60, and EGR system of series 60 is totally different.
FMI 7 - usuall carbon deposits in EGR valve, so flap goes stuck sometimes
