How do I gain access to back of series 60 engine?

    2006 Columbia S60 14L. Yesterday I had a coolant hose burst. There are two 5/8 hoses that run from the back of the engine down to the bottom of the transmission. Luckily the failure occurred near where it connects to the transmission, so I was able to cut off the bad and splice in a new heater hose. However, what if one day I need to replace the whole length of hose? Does this mean I'll have to drop the transmission or is there a way to raise the cab high enough to gain access to the back of the engine? I could probably disconnect rear cab airbags and shocks, but what would be the pivot point on the front end and how high could I go before breaking something?

    Don't know much about the Columbia's but on the Century's you can pull the fender behind the steer off and have semi-good access to the back of the engine area. It is tight in there and visibility isn't great but you can make it work. Surely you don't have to pull the tranny to replace two coolant lines. That IMO would be classified as bad engineering.

    I also have a Detroit. Both my coolant lines were replaced by the mechanic at Sapp in Denver. I wasn't watching but I can't imagine he was some wizard and it didn't take that long.
