Recently started feeling a pounding while rolling down the interstate empty. Thought it was just mud on the inside of my duals since i drive a lot on dirt roads....not it. Seems to come and go and occurs around speeds of 55-70 mph. Thought i might have a bad cap so put new caps on...again didn't work. Put Centramatics in between by drivers and still hasn't helped. Was told to check the aluminum blocks between my springs and the axels for cracks and they are in good shape. Anyone have any suggestions?

Get on a cell phone and a buddy riding next to you on the right then the left and try to determine where it's coming from. Might be able to narrow down your search. This is a real tough problem to find!!! I know!
Ride height
Bad wheel bearing
Bad universal joint. If you recently had your rear end hopping up and down trying to get out of sand it can damage them real quick
Drive shaft out of balance. Some have weights welded to them and they can come offjerfle Thanks this. -

Thank you for the suggestions! You mention ride height, I looked at my air control valve and noticed the lever isn't level with the ground but when you move it up/down, it still allows air in and out. Is this a problem?
Also have changed 2 U-joints, carrier bearing, gone through the rear end from the wheel bearings out to the brake drums.
Im also thinking either a rim or a drive shaft! -
You can adjust the ride height like 1/2" and take it for a ride then try the other direction.

I meant a 1/2" on the level rod not the truck height.
lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
The title opens too many doors for jokes. I know this doesn't help, but...
