Has anybody had any luck getting velcro to stick to a Cascadia dashboard? The plastic in my 2015 must be come kind of teflon. I've cleaned it with alcohol before sticking the velcro on, let it dry, and the pad still slides right off the first time I use it. This velcro sticks tight to everything else.

I've seen special "dashboard velcro" online and I wonder if it might work. Does anybody have personal experience with it?

I want to stick my peoplenet keyboard to the front of the dash out of the way near the glovebox. Right now it spends its time either sliding around on top of the dash or falling into the passenger floorboard.

Fly-trap paper rolls (home depot, 99cent store, garden store, etc.)...they will stick to anything...as long as what you're holding isn't too heavy, they'll last all winter on a vertical surface, and all year on top of the dash on a horizontal surface. Just cut a piece to match the piece of velcro, (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using gloves and a razor blade that you can throw away).put it on the back of the velcro and slap it on the dash. When you're done, just use some goof-off or armor-all to get rid of the sticky residue. However, for a cleaner (albeit, more expensive route), those gel suction cups sound pretty good as well....best of luck

Velcro brand makes a rough surface / exterior grade product that works. It is available at Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Clean off the spot you want to adhere to with an alcohol swab and let it dry for 5 minutes I use it and it works. Stays adhered in hot and cold weather.

I've used some double sided foam tape to mount a piece of glass (the kind found in picture frames from the dollar store). The glass in turn acts as a smooth surface for suction mounts. This setup is going 2+ years strong in my truck.

Two part epoxy on a rough sanded surface works great.

wipe the surface with some alcohol pads to make sure theres no oil on it.
take some gorilla tape and some super glue or 5 min epoxy

cut a strip of the tape and tape it to where you wiped the dash with the alcohol pads.

then on the opposite side of that tape put some superglue or 5 min epoxy and put another piece of gorilla tape or Velcro on it (what you're trying to do it make double sided tape)

once it is dry you can attach anything you want to the tape or velcro.

ive bought double sided tape and those 3mm double sided white pad things but none of them stick to well. ive found gorilla tape to stick good to the dash that's why i prefer that to have contact with the dash.
