U have to usually turn to accessory position then pop the clip and u can pull tumbler out unless it's in accessory it doesn't come out

The spring inside had come apart and was not letting it release! Cut it open.

I just let a mechanic pop mine out! I took out the old and walked it over to him with the new, and let him do it. They are a real pain in the ### as you are experiencing.

I also gave him a couple of bucks.

How about if you lost your key is there a way to remove it without the right key to turn it..

Need help I lost my key and need to remove ignition key tumbler on a 09 Freightliner Cascadia.

A dealer can look up your key code with the last 6 of your vin. Any decent locksmith will be able to make you a key for about $10 with this key code. That's how we do it here.
QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
Yes I tried this but eventually the key didn't work because the locks were probably switched out before. So I purchased a new set of door locks and ignition key tumbler but was wondering how to remove the tumbler without having the actual key ...Thanks for the info...
