Going up 6% grades is not too fun when you're stuck at 1500. Anybody know how to change the parameters?

Dd15 doesn't pull well over 1500 rpm during break in period engine cuts back boost ... That engine pulls well down to 1000 rpm BUT is sluggish during break in period and so quiet it doesn't sound like its pulling but it is ... A lot of new engines are set up with a break in schedule programmed into ecm and won't pull hard till x amount of miles go by

    AnastasiaBeaverhausen Thanks this.

He needs a boost of 200rpm to be able to upshift without it getting sluggish... as soon as he does, it drops from 1500 to 1000 before he can get into the next highest gear.

Tell them to go to parameters, then change the progressive shift to a higher rpm

DiagnosticLink 8.01 need to change the parameters of this truck. Any Detroit Diesel dealer can do it for one hour labor charge if you are the registrated owner.
