I've had a problem that came up with my lights. It started about 6 months ago.
I will lose my clearance marker lights on the tractor while the switch is in the up position. Head lights not effected.
It happens every 2 weeks or so. I have to pull my panel apart and re-seat the connection between wiring harness connector and the switch itself. It seems like a solid connection but I guess it's working it's way lose somehow. I lose the marker lights only when the switch is in the up position. If I flip it down the markers work!
I replaced the switch last month and coming home last night I lost the markers again! My next move is to disconnect the switch at the connection and put a little locktite on the connection.
It's a simple fix if it weren't for having to tear the dash apart every 2 weeks!!!
Any help would be appreciated. Switch was $50. no big deal. Hate to Loctite them together and have it happen again.
    Waiting for words of wisdom.
    Oh yea...it's a 2001 century.
    Thanks

I would say one of the contacts in the plug is not making good contact. Or is dirty. They make tools to get the wires out of the plug without destroying them. If you are careful you can do it without the tools, sometimes a thin piece of wire, really small screwdriver. At the age of your truck there is usually a film on those contacts and it can create problems. There is contact cleaner, but I like to try and get some scotch brite or something in there to shine up the surface. I would also try and tighten up the contacts if that cab light contact is a little loose that could be your problem. Look at the plug and see if it has been hot. As in melted plastic.

Agree......A little dielectric grease on the plug may help too after cleaning the connections.

May have to dig back in harness and try to get some slack, then zip tie as close to switch as possible. Also look down in plug and see where contacts are, then bend pins slightly to tighten up.
