My 60 series Detroit has a rattle when accelerating in very cold temps. Sounds like valves but unsure. When the outside air temp is warmer it doesn't do it. Was wondering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks!

I started mine up today. first time in 3 days. 15 degrees.. turn, turn, turn, rattle, clang, clang, bang, shake, smoke. puff, puff, ran rough for 10 min then smoothed out. never left the driveway. just wanted to break the trailer tires frozen in ice.

Not really an uncommon noise in colder temps. Some trucks, a belly tarp helps.
