I saw one in a 2003 Columbia rated at 500 horsepower, the old ratings for the 98s were 525, 550, and in FL only, 575. One of our members reported to have been involved with testing them back when he was still driving, and reports I heard said they were very strong engines.
Reputed to have cooling issues, but that was from a competitive dealer. I'm thinking they were 1850 and 2050 ft.lbs of torque but I don't know. There was a higher torque rating for certain 12.7s.
Fitzgerald recommends the 12.7 Detroit, but they also sold them with other engines. -
