exhaust popping sound

get an overhead done. possibly have loose exhaust valve.

i had an 05 isx that did that on the intake side. you could see fuel spray out the air filter canisters. every time i did that whoosh. it only did it on low rpms. overhead cured that problem.

 

You probably have a hole in your exhaust manifold. That's what it sounds like. Been there twice.

Yea no way to say it nice is there? Nothing worse than a rusty, crusty leaking crack. Would be a good time to upgrade to a nice new shiny ceramic coated one. Check all the places selling them someone always has a "deal" going on. A couple of years ago I got one for my Acert from "Full Tilt" with a complete stainless install kit, gaskets, studs, spacers literally all of it for 1499.00 delivered to my door, couldn't believe it. About a month ago Buddy of mine called around got the same package for 1599.00 delivered. Definitely worth a little research to save a couple hundred bucks.
