I have an 03 century with a 14l detroit and the eaton 10spd auto shift I have a clutch pedal. anyways I dont have alot of experience with the autoshift when I am driving it seems to upshift fine and run good going down the road the spot I am having issues is slowing down in town or getting off the highway when I am making a turn that doesnt require me to stop. If I down shift manually it wont let me skip gears so I have to hit every gear and it takes for ever to get down to say 5th or something to drive through the turn if I press the clutch it thinks I am going to stop and then wants to go down to 2nd or 3rd it just seems to take a long time deciding on a gear if I am slowing down but dont stop is this normal? If so are there any tricks to make it better?

Just press the brake, like in a regular car and it will shift down automatically. Only when you come to a complete stop, then u use clutch

Let it down shift automatically like upshifting. It takes a while to get used to it

So is it normal for it to down shift slow it takes for ever to go down to 5th from 10th if I let it go on its own and hit every gear I have also had times when I slow down and take a turn and it seems like it takes a sec to decide what gear to go to.
