Randomly I will lose every gauge on the dash except for Volts, Fuel, and my air gauges. Also lose the odometer, reads "NoData", figuring it has to do with data link wiring, but I dont have a lot of experience with Freightliners so I dont really know where to start. Truck runs fine, all lights work, radio, heat, etc. Just gauges and odometer go out. Really would like to get this fixed!

    Thanks

Ok, since the first part had nothing to do with mine, I am assuming you are suggesting the truck previously had a qualcomm? Whatever that is? Forgot to mention, gauges will do their initial sweep at KOEO, but flatline once running. Also they will sometimes fix themselves and start working again.

go to rear of cab and look up.do you see 1 or 2 black cables running up to roof top?If so,climb up and look at end of cable.will be corroded pins in harness.remove harness,or cut off clean for quick fix.good luck.

Do you have the single cluster or individual gauges?

Mine odo reads no data once in a while together with a check engine light, after shutting it off. Only happens after a rain. It's done it 3 times in the last 4 years. Twice I've disconnected the batteries to reset it. The last time it cleared up by itself.

I have the individual gauges. While hauling a load to disposal the constant bumping has fixed the issue again. Something has to be loose somewhere.

if you don't have old QUALCOMM cables, then your aux.PDM (secondary fuse box)is water damaged. It is located in your driver door B pillar.Use a screwdriver to open the access door.there are 6 plugs going into pdm.unplug the top 2 (grey and black)plugs.look down into pdm ports.they will be wet or green with corrosion.replace pdm.$95 ish from Freightliner. If you can unplug while gauges are acting up,should stop problem on the spot.good luck.
