2014 Cascadia has EEC61 code

    This is a 14 Cascadia with a DD15, has just over 200k miles on it. Right now the malfunction indicator lamp is on. I just checked and it said there were 2 faults. Both were EEC61, SPN 4364, and one said Fail 18 and the other said Fail 1. What in the world is going on? We're also noticing an intermittent loss in power, not a derate since it will go to max speed @ 73 mph, but it has a hell of a time getting up even slight inclines. Could use some help here!

    Haha thanks for the info. When I stopped this morning, the malfunction lamp was still on, but the codes were gone. Maybe this is some weird electrical problem? Of course I'd rather have it be something solid I could nail down... Guess I'll get the doser checked in any case.

    4364 is for nox conversion. Could be a number of things. NOX sensors, scr catalyst, def pressure/dosing issue. I would get it looked at asap, as you could go into a 5mph derate.

    It's a emissions related code. The cascadia i used to drive had that code for 3 days before it started blowing blue smoke and derated the engine. The truck has about 127xxx miles. Its a Ryder truck and its been in the shop for about 2 weeks now for that issue.

    Eec61 is the generic fault code for the emission system. You have already derated to 85% and you have about 1000miles before it derates to 55mph then you have another 100 before you derate to 5mph. You def need to get it to a shop just dont bring it to FT. WORTH Freightliner youll be here a minimum of 5 days
