I'm looking for a VIN from a factory day cab FLD or Classic. Or if anyone has the part number for the a/c lines for the cab that would work too. I want to get the A/C lines for a daycab so I can remove the heat/air from under my bed. With the small bunk I don't need it and would like the extra storage. Thanks for the help.

Look up the truck you need in the Truckpaper, a lot of them have the serial number listed.
Long FLD Thanks this. -
ANY freightliner dealer will be able to come up with the part numbers, they don't need to have a sn for them. If they say they need it, they are lying. I just went through this last year with getting parts for another model and all I had to do was tell them what I needed and how I was going to do the work, the PN magically came out of the computer with a diagram.

follow lines from under bunk forward to passenger firewall.lines will unscrew.get caps from any radiator/a.c. shop to cap off lines.heater lines can be tied together with hose coupling and 2 clamps.remember to fill with less Freon than originally called for.

My concern was having a leak so I thought the daycab lines would ease my mind. But then I sat here thinking about all the daycab conversions and how there's no way they're changing the lines on all of them.
