I have just purchased a 1999 Freightliner Century,I get it home and start going through it and I can't get the information display to work, like the odometer or scan readings, the system is working because the indicators light up,like turn signals and engine and low air lights when you turn the key on.I know the previous owner read the milage off of it when I test drove it.I cant find any info on it on web sites as far as having to turn it on ,it seems it should be always on,am I missing somthing?
no info on the information display

if your instrument cluster working and only the display is not working then you have burnt display. it happened with my trucks twice. the display is expensive in the dealer. you can find it cheaper in junkyards.
murat Thanks this. -
I might have one or two. If interested let me know. I will take a look tomorrow. If I do I will give you good price on it. I can run VIN and see if they match.
