Can you retrieve codes on freightliner 2001 fld 1200 without reader

    I called the service department and ask how to read the fault codes. The answer was, that I can not do that without a reader. Is that true and if not, how I can retrieve them?

    You can purchase a ScanGauge for about $200 that will read the fault codes, as well as give you alot of information about your driving habits once you set it up. Has really helped me alot and worth the money in my opinion as an O/O.
