Looking to sell my 07 Freightliner with a blown head gasket; what would be a fair market price?\

    Thanks,

937,000 on the truck, engine and trans. run great until the head gasket blow. new front tires, brand new ECU and other small items. This is my first truck in my business and because the head gasket blow, I have to sell and go back to work. I just want to know how much I should ask for it.

That engine is due for an in frame at the very least.... you would not be expecting much for the hulk..

    Hi Philip,

Thank you for your reply, yes I am aware to not expect much for the truck, but how much can I get for it?

You're looking for a number, Moe, but there's too many variables for that. How about $5K - $10K? All the parts worth something, but they have to be pulled. Or somebody has to pay the head gasket fix? Freightliner in Salina, KS will do an in-frame for $12K, new injectors, turbo, and compressor. Why don't you have enough money to get it fixed? Didn't keep a maintenance account? If that's true, you might as well go back to company driving anyway, just write if off and kiss it goodbye.
