Truck Gainey SUXS

I initially was told by the recruiter at Gainey that I had the job but that I had to go to orientation for two days. They put me on a bus and I arrived on Sunday. Monday a.m. I went to the 1st day of orientation, then Tuesday after numerous faxes to corporate they decided that they had a BAQ (better qualified applicants). My DAC report was also wrong in that it read I had a suspended license which is so not true!!!!!. I feel Gainey is a very deceptive fraudulent company. I mean why would a company pay money to send someone to their orientation if they did not know they were going to hire them to begin with????? This has really rocked my world being that I quit my prior job b/c Gainey CLAIMED, STATED AND ACKNOWLEDGED I was hired!. I now have no $$$$ to my name and about to lose everything. I also got a chance to view their trucks and I can tell you they are old and run down at least on an appearance level. Luckily I did not have to drive them b/c from what I have read on this forum people have nailed their company to a T. If I would have known about this before hand I would have NEVER had wasted my valuable time.

BE FOREWARNED DO NOT APPLY OR EVEN CONSIDER GAINEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Just go back to your old job.

I agree though. JB Hunt does/did the same thing. They'd get you to orientation, and then tell you that you had to complete another application and final approval rested on the completion of ALL backround. I passed, but quit halfway though orientation because it was obvious what the recruiter had been disingenuous.

tyson pays you to come to orientation without you being hired. They have looked at your dac, mvr, and previous employers though. Basically you are hired pending your physical, road test, and drug test.

johnny041,
Just like with most larger sized companies that hire drivers in batches, sometimes it takes a bit longer than origionally desired to get all references on a potential driver verified and checked. If anyone found your DAC to state your license is suspended, they would change the status of your potential hire. Employement acceptance is always based on background checks, and is always subject to change when undesirable items come up during such checks.
