Is Gainey still in debt to wachovia?

Is Gainey still in debt to wachovia? Heard through a driver that gainey was or clse to hitting BK. Also, are they laying off drivers? Would like to hear from current gainey drivers on what the scoop is. Thanks, KH.

have not heard anything about their financial status, but I don't think they are laying off drivers because I spent about 15 minutes on hold this morning waiting to talk to a recruiter

Gainey is in chapter 11 status. Gainey has also just sold a large chunk of thier trucks and not replacing them. Im a former driver for them that lives in the grand rapids area and my wife is a former recuiter for them so we still have good friends that work there. Gainey has lost alot of drivers over the last few months and thier client base is shrinking. hope this info helps.

AFAIK, Gainey and Wachovia are still trying to work out an agreement. Harvey sends out fleet messages every now and then updating us on how the negotiations are going.
As for layoffs...I havent heard about any, but am sure Ill be one of the first to know since Im pretty low on the seniority totem pole. Im honestly suprised Im still here considering the status of the company and the status of the economy.

My friend told me about how many gainey drivers are not getting the miles they used too. Are they getting any new trucks?
