Headed back north finally, we are having a poor start to the week with a 34 Monday and then sitting most of Wednesday. We are loaded now with this load we have a measely 1600 for the week thus far hoping for a good series of runs for friday/sat. Low freight areas can be a pita sometimes. However we were given downtime pay so it won't hurt as bad.

Got the weekend preplanned out, will have 3000 miles for the week. Got a message from Mr. Gainey as well stating that the CO is expecting to leave Chapter 11 around Nov 17th.

Well since all the stops on the last load were on today, its not going to be on last weeks check thusly, last week ended around 2500 miles. But that means this week started at 800 miles, we just got preplanned on 1100 mile load, which we are to drop off tomorrow night, and then pick up a 900 mile load to drop off Wednesday.

They routed us home automatically without us even asking or nothing... all of a sudden the dispatcher was like, here these loads will get you by the home, is that ok? o.0

Then while we were waiting for the pickup on the first of the 3 series to get us back to tx he asks, do you want to be home sooner we have a load from where you are to home right now. We opted out because we really don't need to be home, we need to be running, and the 3 spot series was higher paying.

So I am home right now, surprised the Uverse still works considering we couldn't pay the bill last month but its on the pay it now list for the coming pay check. Only reason I am home is to do a spot check on the cats, can't find one of the damn things. I am sure he is here, just put out some more food, grabbed the mail, then off again.

Anxious to see if they pay us back all the tolls we had to upfront pay this check, cause it was like 100.00 in tolls.

Darnit hit our 70 again, hubby hit it yesterday in the middle of a 1100 mile run that was a hot transit time load, so we got creative. Delivered the load, I had less then 6 hrs to drive today, he had 0. But we managed to get our tx load delivered as legally as possible.

We checked our paycheck for tommorrow and are getting paid for the 4 loads I expected, reimbursed for about 100.00 in tolls, and 16 in scales. I'm not sure what we actually spent in tolls but the number sounds about right. I'll make it a point to bring the copier printer next time and write down scales/tolls from now on though since I prefer to stay on top of it.

So we pulled around 1400 this paycheck, and the hubby had to say I was right and he was wrong. -shrugs- pretty common occurence there hehe.

Got our official numbers in:

Week 1: 3679 miles $1398 PAID
Week 2: 3955 miles $1491
Week 3: 3748 miles $1461

These numbers are prior to taxes, and after advances. The two not marked paid are not yet in hand, but are expected based on the payment rate of the first paycheck, vs payday cutoff, and loads we ran.

This weekend we have a easy 1500 mile run, which is good as we are running against MY 70 hour, we managed to get hubby a rolling restart, so he's good. My hours not so great though. After the weekend load we have another 1100 mile load to deliver by Tuesday. Making this week sit at 2600 miles on Tuesday.

While many teams would have a hissy fit at the miles, these are great for us. We are a couple, all miles go into one account to our united bills. This is the perfect number for us, though I was shooting more for 4500 lol. We aren't overly interested in running 6k miles a week every week for the rest of our lives...

So we are happy so far. Except our prepass still doesnt work.... SO ANNOYING!

Seems to be much wider then in a century or 387. About 3 feet between seats, the way this one is designed annoys me. There is a cubby hold extending just below the top bunk, across the entire back wall. Its very much in the way. To make matters worse we also have the apu blower for the ac right under it which makes it hard to lay on that side of the bed, AND of course when its on the cold air is blowing right on you which I personally hate lol.

aside from that its got good room, far more then the 387 and 379, and it seems to be roomier then the century class was as well. Not enough room for a fridge though =(

Thanks IROC. My main concern is headroom. I am 5'11 and stand up fine in a 379, so I would not think a T2 would be a problem. Does Gainey hire students?
