Its much taller then a Pete is, but not as tall as the Century class from SNI was.

I do not believe they do hire students though.

We are waylaid at a consigee right now, the only ones whom they did not have an empty for, I am about to get on the QC as I am on the clock now though. We will get this little stupidity fixed quick.

Gentlemen, Start your ########.

Or so I am thinking.

After some major ######## the shipper decided they wanted the trailer to be dropped not live unloaded. This of course, after they gave us a door, and knew we were waiting for them to unload (they began unloading another non live unload trailer before ours, four hours later they hadn't gotten to us).

Then we got to play my favorite game ever. The Empty Trailer game! Every OTR driver for any company will or has played this game. We all know how it goes. Go get empty here... get there, no empty... yeah. Except our game lasted 9 hours, made us late for pickup, and then delivery, which made us late for the next pickup and delivery.

YAY

We have a load going toward the house now which is great because a package arrived expectantly early and I dont want it on the doorstep during trick or treating.

Looking at around 4600 miles for the week including our preplan.

Thanks for the info Irocubabe. I'm sitting in Yousa orientation with an Ex-Gainey driver. He told me all sorts of flowery stuff about Gainey to the "sooooo why are you here again?" point.

He told me I shoud check them out so I'm doing a little research. I don't think they'll look at me for another 12 months, but let me know if you hear anything about a regular run to NYC. (he said there was a NYC-CHI beer run they couldn't keep filled)

Preciate any info you can spread.

... a driver that wants to run to NYC!? I am not even going to mention that to the dispatcher I want no mistake that I might want to go there...

BUT I haven't done one beer load here. Mostly mail and ups stuff.

As for the ex-driver, he may have been let go, we have a buddy who was released from Gainey that still wants to go back so...l

Yeah it's different if you live there.
No matter how much you ask, they can NEVER find a load going there.

Your right, we are pulling for FedEx and I finally found a terminal that ships there, though if we go my co-driver will be pissed about another short trip. But then I will hopefully get to see my kids and grandson.

I am leaving it in fates hands... Plus my Uncle wants Devil Dogs which is made by Drakes, I keep checking at every WalMart I go to but I think it is just sold in New York.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I've seen Drakes cakes as far out as PA. Now I can't remember.

Seems like all the junk food I remember from my childhood changed flavor around 1994 though. Twinkees just don't taste right these days.

I want Herr's BBQ chips, they seem to be only in the PA area, I've been calling distributors all week trying to find some outside that area >.<

The ONE time I got shipped to that area, couldn't find 1 damn store with them. Grr! I guess people hate delivering to NJ/TX too, but since I lived there I love getting loads there. Plus NJ loads sometimes mean I get to mooch a free dinner offa grandma and see my little brat.

I have heard they do go to NYC and I have heard if you live near that area where they have a terminal there, you will do alot of that area and have a high chance of going to NYC.

They also have a -2 cpm pay cut if you want to never go to NYC lol. I decided we'd see if we went there alot before we took it, so far we haven't. I can handle a handful of times a year to keep 2 cpm...
