I think they are all basically honest at foodliner and gless... they don't really need to lie about anything... its a good job, hence the no real advertizing.

best thing is to talk to recruiting and then go visit a terminal unannounced...

talk to the drivers...

I'm sure just about all of us have a horror story we can drag out for you, something where things didn't go as they were supposed to... but really they are limited occurances and not the normal operation if you know what I mean...

my good runs to oh-uhhhs are way up in percentage to the other places I've worked... the pay is up... and the waiting around time is down...

last week I had to wait just about an hour before I unloaded after another guy finished... I was actually getting frustrated... LOL

I been here a damned hour... what the hell is going on???????

then I though about it... hmmm.... what am I b'ing about???

I'm just being spoiled now... lol

and... my next 15-20 runs to date... pull in... hey... where ya want it... sign the papers... and 45 minutes later I'm back on the road grabbing gears.

go to the terminal and ask the drivers... how long you been here???

got any plans on leaving...???

ain't NOBODY quitting to go haul box anywhere... lol that my friend is the proof in the pudding.

Thanks for the info i might just have to do that and i hope i dont hit the place on a bad day with grumpy drivers in there lol

The trucking industry is looking scary now and with so many bad companies out there looking at all this info can make your eyes blow right out of your head. I just want a company that will treat me good and be honest and get me home once in a while. I am a single guy so home time does not have to be set in stone, I would really like to stay out longer and get more than a 34 hour reset. To me that is not good hometime.

OK Well have a safe day and type at you guys soon

your 34 is up... actually I think it was 38... but anyways....

5 minutes to get in and maybe 10 to get out... had to drive thru the funky scanner into the u.s.

I am up here ontheo ohio/mi border so i could see alot of canada. I have heard some bad stories about the border crossing, hours and hours but hey depends on what time you try to cross. I have a passport so that should make it a little easier

got a nice phone call yesterday morning:

what time you heading south?

around 2-2:30

ok, give me a call before you take off...

sure???

(called in about 1:30 before driving into work)

what's up???

well, you worked the last 2 weekends even when it was supposed to be your weekend off, so I thought I'd give ya first shot this weekend, you can go thurs, fri, sat, sun... pick days to work... or if you want just take the holidays off, your choice...

I'll work if you need me, but I'd just as soon stay home where its warm and enjoy the family time.

no problem, you're covered, enjoy the holidays and we'll see ya monday.

*back flips*

woooohooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I only made about $600 this week...

its fine balancing act... between broke and actually having to work... though I must admit I lean towards the lazy side.

I find that if you drive the truck as opposed to pushing it that will directly affect your miles traveled in a positive manor. This in turn will lend itself to be more conducive in achieving a higher earnings threshold. It is a theory anyway.
