| I guess I'm off to orientation. Should I expect anything unusual? I guess I get to room with another guy. That kinda bummed me out. I guess I can handle it for a couple of nights. |

One thing I noticed is these tanker outfits are unique in that each terminal seems to be a world unto itself. The stuff I get from Dubuque seems like the usual impersonal corporate BS. It is almost enough to make me not want to work for them. Then you deal with the people that will actually matter at your terminal and it is completely different. Hard to describe but have faith. Where is orientation for you anyway? Texas or up in IA?

| I thought the foodliner guys got .37 ??? but whatever...??? still not a bad job... at all... I think foodliner corporate seems to suck a bit because they have so many trucks on that side of the business... they are forced more or less to treat you like a number to keep track of you...??? but like mofamilyman says... that's just the nature of the beast, once you get to your regular duty station it all changes for the better and they know your name and treat you like a person... elogs aren't a deal breaker for me but truthfully I like my book dabnangit !!! ![]() best of luck to all..

| I just finished orientation on Friday the 17th in Chatt. and rode with a guy named Tim for 4 days and was quite a learning experience for me. They are really nice in Chatt. and I drive out of there on the liquid side and live 55 miles away from the terminal so it was a long week of going home everyday and being back at 430 in the morning but I hope will ease up which they all said it should and work with me on getting me loads to come back and stay at the house and not spending my own gas driving back and forth. I think Alan will do your orientation there and he is a nice guy and very informative and if you didnt know the logging aspect of things you will by the time you leave cause I learned a few myself and the elogs is kinda crazy at first but it will be easier I believe once I do it and get a routine down and remember to do it all and that to me will be the hardest but starting something new is always hard and gets easier as time passes but goodluck and if your running that Texas freight I heard it was dedicated if I'm not mistaken and will be home every other night and make a decent check at the end of the week!! |

| I think it will work out. I was a little worried about what the job consisted of. It is an easy job with a lot of paperwork and unload time. I kinda figured all that though. The official pay of 35 1/2cpm is not what im getting but pretty close since its dedicated. They flat rate some loads. |
