It is kinda creepy how Rick pops up everywhere. Dang Hydrite crowd tearing everything up. Surprised y'all didn't pin it on Ottumwa.

How was that? Apparently we have to have an inferiority complex to work in Ottumwa. I feel obligated to comment on how the other parts of the company all have shinnier trailers as well.

I get the inferiority complex thing going at times myself.

Out away from a main terminal, getting the company rumor and gossip mill reports dead last... having to make do with what you're handed... (que violins) no immediate support available for a flat or busted lamp... no wash bay for the truck.... no brand new freightliner for me...

aren't I good enough? Don't I deserve a little more attention...???

Then a foodliner guy will give me the snub....

"You guys are all spoiled rotten, turned loose and running wild, and getting paid better than us because you haul chemicals, ooooooo I'm special look at me !!!"

Why, yes I am... LOL!!! Ka'ching Ka'ching (cash register sounds)

Ah the smell of seething jealousy from the foodliner crowd.

I thought it was funny when I got my truck and saw it had under 200 miles on it. I felt warm and special in a way. Then I realized it was an 07 that had been sitting around unused for the past year and a half and the specialness drifted away. The had me in Freightliner getting a service bulletin dealt with and those blighter's unhooked my battery. No battery, the fancy time keeping device between the windows stops moving. Fancy device stops moving and I spend most of today running a hour and change behind asking myself WTF till I figured it out.

I think I can speak for 6under when I say our love of our jobs has three sources.

Great pay: Let's be honest this is the beginning and end of most job searches. The pay at Gless is definitely above par.

Great people: It hasn't ceased to amaze me yet how friendly and helpful everyone has been. I am not shy about saving the success I've had so far is a direct result of the people I work with and for.

Finally the sexy red chem suit that just drives all the ladies wild. The most important piece of equipment we carry it the stick we use to beat the gals off so we can get our work done.

I read on their page that you need to live within 50 miles of the company. I hope when I get my year in with an otr company I can get hooked up with a sweet deal like that.

You may wish to check out Foodliner as well. Gless is just the chemical division of them. I think they have a few terminals in PA. I don't think they are major sticklers fore the fifty mile thing. I myself live about 70 miles from my terminal.

I didn't notice any PA terminals listed on their pages. Not that they aren't there, after I read you need one year OTR, I just closed the window...

Here's a list of Foodliner terminals. You still need the year but it is something to focus on. I spent nine years bumping docks for Roehl transport and really should have left sooner. It was alright for the most part but in hindsight it didn't hold a candle to what I am doingnow.
