I'd never make a good o/o i'd go postal..........
I have been in heavy duty towing for 20 years and 300 is not a bad price, a big truck is not like hooking up a car. If you do it right there is alot of work in it. Man did i hate getting up in the middle of the night to go out and remove drivelines and set up air lines, brutal work i will never miss it!

this guy drove out and hooked an air hose on to charge my tanks with air and I drove the truck to the sapp parking lot two miles away. two hours labor at 150 per... cuz the time starts when they dispatch the truck and ends when he's back at the ponderosa. he figured it took an hour from when he got the call to when I was in the lot and at that point he was half done. had to drive the wrecker back up the road 7 miles and put it to bed...

nice guy I just think he took advantage of us.

I grew up around towing and I know all about pulling bumpers and working your butt off in the wee hours.. I also know about being reasonable with a customer and charging for "what" you do. In my opinion $150 would have been plenty reasonable for running out at 8p.m. and charging an air tank.

Our mistake, we should have called a tire shop instead of a wrecker...

Three days out for a waterloo guy? Do y'all even know how to get from your seats to your sleepers?. I started to feel like I was an over the road driver again myself this past week.
Monday load out going to western OK deliver Tues am. 650 out 650 back(That part still tickles me to death). Weds two loads up to cedar rapids and one to eddyville. Thurs reload a cedar rapids trailer then take a load to eddyville. Grab a clean barrel and scoot on out to Scotts bluff NE to load Friday am. Run that back and drop it in Blue Grass then go to the house. 1600 miles and change on that little ride. Fri afternoon Darrel calls and asks if I want to take one down to NC for Monday am...had to pass on that one.

Things seem to vary wildly by terminal. They have a terminal in Toledo and defiance OH. Both are close to you I think but I have no idea what each terminal hauls.
