Foodliner in Chatt,Tn ?? Starting with Foodliner in Chatt,Tn tomorrow and have to admit I'm a little nervous for I dont know their hometime sitiuation. I've talked to the terminal manager and he says at most maybe out 2 days and can swing by the house with my truck and atke my 10 off if the tanker is not needed but still make me some what scared cause I live 55 miles away and if I do take my truck back to the terminal and am needed back in 10 hours I will spend 2 of that driving my personal vehicle. My question is does any work for them or know any one that works for them up there know how this terminal works and could fill me me.I have pulled tankers for several years but never food grade and know that thing in trucking are never text book but would like to have a little more info on what to look forward to if possible. Thanks and any info will help!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words and I've been there for a week now and trying to get use to the backlash of the liquid "shotgun" tanker again and my trainer was great and it did seem like a slow week of learning I must say! I have never pulled food grade and all the safety points and the precaution the company uses I must say is awesome. And not only that but the way Foodliner wants and pushes the truck safety and running makes me feel good about driving for them cause I know I wont have to run like a "outlaw" to make a living but I do wish some of the loads did pay better on the liquid side but I amd thankful for a job and will ride it out to see if they will live up to what I was told. Will keep posting to let anyone know that lives around the area if they are interested on coming onboard!!

Positives: Easy work, local job, good equipment, 68mphNegatives: lots of paperwork and rules, e-logs(Just my opinion), smells at plants, pay should be higher for experience/fixed load pay on local runs/no drop pay, orientation lasts a week.

The only thing I am finding where I work at is the loads only deliver on weekdays during business hours. This hampers your earning ability. Everything is slow right now. They didn't lie to me one bit though. Everything that I was told came true.
