Yeah I agree with everything said here too...I have only been with GTI a short time but have nothing bad to really say at all..they have little issues but doesn't every co.? In the southwest they seem to keep us busy. I have just completed my training period and am really looking forward to getting on my own....good luck to everyone trying to come aboard....

some food for thought

i'm a driver 25yrs experience no tickets no accidents 12yrs + excellent record so finding someone to hire is not a problem, finding a place that lives up to promises PROBLEM!! checked out gordon trucking pretty good they said all the right things during the hiring process.

went to green bay for orientation usual stuff

was hired as company driver driving a gordon truck
at gordon if you want your gordon owned truck washed the driver must pay for it 19.00$ more or less told them there truck would turn to dust before i paid them to wash it. yes thats $19.00 even if washed at gordon terminal

trucks set at 63 (below most standards)

1st dispatch was a 77 mile haul that could not deliver for 7hrs later
2nd was a 525mile to mpls (not bad)
3rd was dispatched at 8am on a load that was 150miles could not deliver untill 8am next day
you see were this is going lol

if you run midwest were they have frieght miles will be low short haul runs if you get outside the midwest they use brokers and seem to take anything and everything with no regard for driver
was send to oklahoma drop and hook at walmart dc deadhead to kcmo to get broker load kcmo to columbia sc sounds great ? ya think? load not ready ended up being 2 pickps which was never told took 9 hrs to load got 2 hrs detention took to columbia set all day to find another broker load (no pay) got load to lexington ky delivered set alday looking for broker load. truck due for service the day they put me on it was asked to take deadhead to indy then load to chicago reminded dm about service "oh yeah you cant take that load service was in indy. ended up dh to indy for no pay 10 days out 2900 miles we parted ways

equipment very substandard truck i got had no door seal on bunk door you could see daylite around entire door

so what im saying is this promises are just words till they back them up gordon seems to be all words beware

Team seeking info

Hi fellas,

I seeking for information about Gordon, so here is the drama:
We are a team from Colorado and looking to make good runs (over 500 miles), good weekly miles (wich in our concept is over 5k miles/w) and we dont like much to go to Canada.
How is Gordon for teams out of Colorado?
How the trucks are, i heard that are all freight's, do they have APUs?
Is any dedicated runs towards colorado area that take teams?
How is reefer div. too much dock time?
How many miles Shoud i expect to do ?

Thanks all!
