| I have a similar problem, no violations since June 1999 until a citation in February for careless driving, "passing on a wet road." I took it to court and beat it but it is still on my record as "ajudicated without fault" which means not guilty. However Roehl would not even talk to me because it showed up at all. How can they hold a charged but not guilty situation over your head like that.....Thats downright Un-American.

| This post is pretty old, and the author has most likely moved on to other things....but it is still important enough content to bring back to the top. With two speeding violations (one serious) in a 3 year period.....that will disqualify you from MOST companies alone. Then throw in a slightly older (but still relavant) misdemeanor on top of that.....and you'r screwed. In Iowa, a first offence DUI is considered a misdemeanor.....and will disqualiy you from ALL companies for atleast 3 to 5 years (most are 5) to up to 10 years. As said, it depends on the incurance company....but the D.O.T. have their standards as well, and D.O.T. out-rank and over-rule insurance companies as far as regulations go. Any more....EVERY trucking company with a web site will list their "Requirements" on it......and those whom don't is only a phone call away. p.s.- Best way to beat a drug test is to not use drugs.....best way to keep your MVR clean is to obey the laws.

| Does anyone know what kind of company I can expect with this kind of driving record? 1) Minor at-fault accident (< $250 in damages) No citation issued. March 2007 2) Speeding (9 mph over) October 2007 Yeah, '07 wasn't the greatest year for me. Anyway, just wanted some realistic expectations for what company would consider hiring me with those on my MVR. Thanks in advance for the pointers.

#2 is one speeding ticket (under 15 mph. over) in the past 3 years And neither one were in the past 12 months. If these are the ONLY two things that show up on your MVR (even beyond 3 years), then from my research and experience....you are qualified with most companies I have ever seen. However; any company MAY put you on a personal probation, stating, if you screw up in any way, and get a ticket of any kind (other than parking), in a certain time frame, you will be dismissed.
