Why do all you people think this guy is actually a recruiter? Are there recruiters at the corporate office at 2 am in the morning? I figured he is just a night dispatcher. I could be wrong though. Im probably finished with JB Hunt now. Not because of what this guy posted but because I had already put my two weeks notice in before last time I went out. The only reason I have stayed with them this long is because of my weak medical insurance which I have been using often and the fact that I dont like going through orientations. But I just got a dog and am going to take him with me on trips which JB Hunt doesnt allow.

I didn't quote it, but it's here within the thread somewhere..The claim of not being qualified because of a 20 yo open container charge/conviction.

A misdemeanor by his own admission. Listed by our court systems the same way a parking ticket is listed, misdemeanor.

This guy is as nuts as the woman he described. No company will disqualify you from driving over a 20 yo misdemeanor charge. Not even the US Government. Hell, he just eliminated 94% of the "avaliable" truck drivers out here. If not more.

The Feds will even give you a security pass with that charge on your record.....within the past 4 years.

And he wants me to believe that JB Hunt holds themselves (as a company) to higher standards than the DHS???

I think he's smokin crack........or maybe even worse.

    Then you don't deny it?

Then you just chose somebody for the job in which he was interested, and have a responsibility to make it available when he arrives.

Well that's pretty unscrupulous, and you probably get off on this sort of thing, don't you?

Okay, but that's not the driver's problem.

Again, that's the company's problem, not the guy you just shafted.

Get someone to haul the freight in the meantime. That's what dispatchers are for.

This has to be a lie as it makes no sense. Why would you ever NOT set someone up for orientation unless they in fact WERE chosen for the job?

So hes saying that in the past, people were going to orentiation that werent even 100% sure to get the job? No wonder there are so many who despise this company. If people were getting the run-around like this from the get-go, just imagine what ensues after hire. Wow!:biggrin_25513:

"I was allways told if its that good, they wont advertise..."

That's true. Those companies who don't have to advertise have little turnover or even no turnover. Now...would you rather work for a company whom you may quit tomorrow or would you rather work for a company that is much closer to being a "sure thing"?

Do you follow the herd or go against the grain?

So it appears. I was told the job I applied for was in fact mine, and then I got the call the day before I was supposed to head up to E. Brunswick.

The disorganization and mismanagement that must go on there is unbelieveable. Frankly, in retrospect, I'm glad I didn't get that Rite-Aid job. Who knows what I would have had to put up with?

Mack, you already know. Well, let me say you PROBABLY know. There is no guarantee one will get kicked in the teeth at JBH, but their turnover tells me it's nearly a sure thing, about a 95% probability over the long haul.
