I'm gonna say you'll be good, but man you got to do some better fuel management especially during the winter months. You wake up in a snowed in parking lot ( yes, I've been there ) it could get sketchy for you.
But I've also ran so hard I had to pull up and wait three hours on fumes just so I could pull up to the pumps and re-fuel.
Good luck dude!
Fuel when idling?

Why are you idling over night!? You need to have an espar or webasto etc... installed. .2 gph. unless you're -10c and below, there's no reason to idle. Have an auxilary heater put in. It'll be the best mod you can buy.
just my 2cents
cheers, -
Idling so that the truck starts with below zero weather. No opti idle

0.8 gallons an hour was the average for me, 15 liter ISX.
Your ten hour break costs you between 30 and 40 bucks. Might as well go to Knights Inn.truckman29801 Thanks this. -

I do the same, bump the rpm's until the oil pressure moves up some, I also run an espar heater for winter, I "think" it burns less than 2 gals a night and will cook you out of the truck if you crank it up, I think you can buy one for around $12-1500 cheap heat, AC now is a diff story,
I use 10 hours as my breaking point, If I know I will be parked 2 days and it's 100 out I get a room -
Ive always idled for about 7 hours at idle, what happens if.you dont idle up? I havent had this oil spitting to me

Idling up is cheap, well sorta, insurance to make sure you have enough oil circulating to keep your engine from burning up
