I'm going to be on the Family Dollar account out of Odessa, TX. I have respect for my trainer because from what I hear getting into a dedicated fleet with Werner takes time and all he did was recommend me to his fleet manager and now the ball is rolling. I cant wait. 06.15.2009 Drop'n'Hook Hi does anyone like werner...I am leaning towards their reefer division...Do they treat you good like with respect and do they know your name...So does anyone have any information about the reefer division.. 09.29.2008 Bigarmin88 Thanks,ill keep that in mind. 09.29.2008 IROCUBabe The training part sucks usually you get a trainer more concerned about $ then training but if you get a crappy trainer do not be afraid to tell your SDM you aren't comfortable with them and they will find you someone else. And always remember, 90% of what people whine about as a 'Werner' is bad thing is the same at every company the size of Werner. 09.21.2008 Bigarmin88 Im heading to werner in 3 weeks for training.Any good asvice? 09.10.2008 pappygrayowl YES!!!! Now I just need to go to the registry on tueday and get my plastic, then its off to Allentown. Its gonna feel good to work for a living again. I'll keep you all posted on how the training goes. In the meantime, keep the rubber side down. 08.24.2008 pappygrayowl Still waiting to get to Allentown, because I have to take the test again! Not because I failed, but because I couldn't do the airbrakes test which means I couldn't drive either. Wanna know why? Because the lame school I went to sent the test truck to the test site but they couldn't shut the truck off because it would need a jump to get it going again. If any of you out there are from Massachusetts, you know that the CDL test is a tough one to begin with, but to have this happen is just a little more than I had bargained for. Oh well, at least the school is shelling out the $75 for me to test again. But it means waiting another 2 weeks to start my career. It is really annoying to know I have a job with werner but can't go do it yet. This could only happen to me.
