I work out of stockton and they were hiring last I heard for one line driver. Best way is to go to yrc.com and follow the careers link. The pay starts out at .39 cpm and 16 hourly and after 3 years goes up to .50cpm and 20hourly. We are a union shop so we get a pension and full company paid benefits. Hope this helps good luck .

I am considering applying for a Reddaway job in Southern California.

Please excuse my ignorance because I am new to the LTL trucking business.

You wrote Reddaway drivers get paid .38 a mile and $16 Per hour. So, is that .38 per mile and when you are not driving but still on the clock you get $16 per hour?

You drive company tractors and the company pays for fuel and repairs/maintenance?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

The starting pay is .39 cpm and 16.25 an hour. You will be paid mileage when driving, and hourly for everything else like waiting at terminal for load, hooking trailers. We are paid start of the day to the end for everything. Yea company pays everything, hope this helps and good luck.

Oh Boy you live in Stockton? I lived there for a year and it was the worst place I ever lived. I worked for Saladino's when I was out there. But I just got hired at New Penn today and the Dunmore PA terminal. Union trucking companies are the only trucking companies I will eer work for again. I wasted 3yrs of my life at Sysco and US Foods. In this type of business you need union representation.

Yea that's aweome, I'm rally happy for you. so many slime bag trucking companies out there. I just got hired at New Penn today, one of the very few teamster outfits left around here. Just the thought og not having to pay anything out of pocket for health insurance and a pension plan I'm over the moon about

triplesanddoubles, do you run down south? Fontana voted the union in quick like. One day I was hearing it might happen, the next day the teamsters were in. They have been hanging out in Downey and Orange too. I'm voting them in if I get the chance. Heard Orange wants them in but I'm not sure about LOS. I like Reddaway too but we need new trucks. Could use some trailers and con gear too but I'll take the trucks for now. Whenever they show up? Been super busy down here for us.
