so i started my new job. they gave me the key and said ok go. if you plan on going to a rail company make sure they train you. i struggled my butt off. contemplating on going back to swift. gravy job. trailers rock. but honestly im really thinking of learning and doing cross town. i think i would like it more than regional. i dont like the long drives. kiswani has been asking me to come join em. but i think they want o/o cross town. but man does the rails suck. and man sometimes i wonder how in the heck a person backs in a trailer there. csx bedford and global 1 has angle backing but i couldnt get it. it was so hard. had 1 flat and a blow out. hope things get better.

well what you say sounds about right for rail yards. Not to mention long lines during peak hours.

just because your in a truck doesn't mean it's all the same. Intermodal is its own game.

What part of Chicagoland do you live in? Kiswani has an add on Craigslist daily I believe he pays on a 10-99, I wouldnt work for him... All the LTL companies are hiring in Chicago area... I wont do the rail yards they can have that.

If you didnt get training that makes your job very hard but you will get it eventually. Also if you get paid percentage or by the load run run away and dont look back.
