Jb runs the BNSF, NS, Canadian National and CSX mostly. Some UP out of Dolton. I don't know if we go to the ramps in Elwood or Rochelle.

i hate conglobal so much. always traffic and only one way in/out. and they so strict. this is what makes me re-think your company. but ive been hearing tons of good things about your company. so far the pros outweigh the cons. i just hate this place

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if ConGlobal and the rails bent you out of shape, perhaps Intermodal isn't for you......frankly, I've been to much worse places flatbedding with a spread axle (try turning those around right spots).....

    i dont know bro.

i dont like any rail yards myself lol.. but i still do it anyway. it's part of my job description! who the hell likes rails anyway!??! it's all about patience... that's the name of the game... but con global isnt that bad...............hell, i dont think any rail is bad.. it's the same ole

    ingate
    wait for lift on/off
try to flag a spotter for 30 minutes as they ignore you
or find stupid chassis with tire and go to mechanic only to tell you you need a flip now
    wait hour at the outgate
    outgtae

I'm thinking I am very lucky to be working out of the new NS rails in Charlotte. It sounds like if I did this in Chicago I'd have hung myself in the portajon by now. I really hope it pays well there, seriously.

Last summer I helped my company out down there in Charlotte. I am a Chicago intermodal driver, so when I was at the NS yard down, I couldn't find my box. I did what I always did up north, drive up and down the tracks to find it. I was just about to hook up to my box when this spotter doing a 1,000 mph comes up to me, yelling at me that drivers aren't allow on the tracks and that we have to go to the office so they can radio the spotter to bring to box to us.

Lol, it was a fun time had by one and all.

Yea I was told to not go over the yellow lines where the big 10 million dollar (supposedly) lift runs along or go over the tracks by our lead driver here. I had to flag a guy down to pull one out 15 ft away. Overall I like the Intermodel here though.
