Good deal I am going to work on that today. So you think it may be the terminals inside the circuit board? Btw the relay/breakers are 25 amp, I think I said they were 30. You think the relays are shot as well?

There is no relay for the blower motor, just the 30 amp breaker. The terminals I am talking about are what the breaker plugs into. That really isn't a circuit board, more of just a socket. Special tooling is needed to replace those terminals, not hard, but it can go bad for someone who doesn't know either. 25 amp will work, it just may pop if you leave the fan speed at full all the time.

    Rogerd Thanks this.

Yep, you were correct, if I keep it at about half speed the fan works just fine but I am sure that the components were bent at some time by the cover, just like you said. I will take it in soon and get the connectors replaced. The fan still puts a lot of air out at that speed, but its just unnerving to feel that wire get hot. Better safe than sorry.
    Thanks!

Yes, the potential is there for a fire, but most likely it would just melt, but better to be safe than sorry like you said!!!

What I have found is the thermistors get dripped on and navistar now issues them in a kit for 140 bucks. You get 2 thermistors, new connectors, and most important 2 boots that cover and insulate the thermistors.

Try your high pressure sensor. Disconnect it and check for corrosion. If the pins look ok, replace the sensor and retest. Once the a/c quits it will log a code as to why, you would need Diamond logic software connected to the body controller to see what is going on. Who has been doing your a/c work, and did they connect a computer to the truck at all?

The a/c system has to be sucked down to replace thermistors, so always replace both. The latest kits have actually gone up in price a lot. They now include a connector kit. The newer thermistors have a solid probe. The older ones you could see the temperature sensing bulb as it had no protection.

Heavyd , thank you for your response . Update : compressors works , tube is cool going into cab , fan engages at hi idle sometimes . Could it be low pressure due to a leak , possibly the Schader valves . System worked great straight out of the shop . The thing that stumped me was resetting the system it worked great , now it doesn't . Truck is on the road and I refuse to go to a dealer ( tried to charge me 4200.00 to repair a/c when all we needed was a 25.00 actuator ) . Should I charge system with a can of freon and soap test Schader valves
