The 9200 has a shorter hood than the 9400. Other than the length of the hoods, I don't remember any other significant differences. I don't know what the 'I" stands for unless it is for International.
silver dollar Thanks this. -
9200 technically would have the lighter suspension(12K # front end) and lower horse power small bore engines like M11, ISM, C12 or Detroits(lower hp ones). 9400 would have heavier 14K # front end and big bore engines like N14, ISX, C15 and high hp Detroits. This is why the 9200 had the shorter hood, it had a smaller engine bay. The "i" is for the "Innovation" series of Cab. This is the cab with slanted doors and bigger slanted windshield. The red truck is an "i" cab, and the white one is the older series. The "i" cab was introduced around 2000 to increase driver visibility.

Heavyd Thanks this.

Yep, tech.

Would a 12.7 d60 fit into a 9200 since it has a smaller engine bay. I thought both motors were about the same size.

Yes, that would fit. Make sure it has the two or three piece valve cover, because the single piece won't come off unless you jack up the cab.
QUALITYTRUCK and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -

That should fit just fine. The difference between Eagle and standard is just interior trim levels of the cab. Hoods are the same.
