passenger side kick panel. There not to bad to swap out. very rare that they fail though. Depending on what options were spec (roll stability ect) then the abs unit is programmed to be vin specific

This video is not the truck in question, however it is the same year, type and is doing the exact same thing as the truck in the shop. I got lucky and actually found a video on youtube "not my video"
No communication with ABS Module, Logic Builder, ECU and Instrument cluster not reading ABS Module. Tested wiring all ok, Could this be the first Bendix EC-60 Module I have ever seen fail? Apparently some kid was getting the mirror heaters working and was messing around with attaching new wires to the mirrors, would this short out the module? That was the last thing that was done to the truck before it started going crazy. Anyone seen this before?

Actually, this is a very common problem. The harness that runs along behind the front bumper includes ABS wiring for the front sensors and modulators, plus the wiring for the windshield washer pump and washer fluid level sensor. All ABS wiring is twisted. It is very easy for the ABS wiring to rub through on the loom, brackets and mainly other wires. The washer pump circuit is kinda backwards. The pump gets constant power and the switch provides a ground. The body controller senses when this circuit has be grounded. When you hit the washer switch, the pump turns on, the body controller sees ground on this signal and turns on the wipers. If it has been grounded by a short in the wiring, the body controller thinks you are constantly asking for washers and so turns on the wipers until the ground is gone. If you open up the loom around the windshield washer bottle you will find where the wiring is rubbed through. I would recommend running all new wires because the damaged is most likely along the entire length of the harness down there.

Hello...I am new to this forum and just bought a 2008 Prostar with Cummins ISX power. My only issue is ...when I first start the truck cold, and the ECM is finished going through all its tests and when engine idles at 600 rpm...the engine fan cycles on and off very fast(voltage to fan solenoid is jumping around from 8 volts to maybe 12.5 volts, killing my fan clutch...! If I let the engine idle at 600, the fan air solenoid will cycle on and off for maybe 2 or 3 minutes or more. When I take the idle to 750 rpm or more...the fan turns off normal(voltage stabil at 13.8 volts to air solenoid) Its not a problem with my coolant temp sensor, I changed sensors and have a good 5.2 volts to that sensor and checked signal wire back to the engine ECM.
I am getting instrument cluster fault codes, like 3 or 4 codes...on start up....And, my instrument display light goes on and off some times...even when truck is not running...I think I here a relay clicking. All the other cab controls seem to work ok. I have cleaned and checked the grounds I can find, when new alternator and new batteries. Any idea? Is it my cab control module...or a loose ground or wire?

Check the cab power supplies at the mega fuses at the firewall right behind the air cleaner housing.

My 2010 Prostar ABS Module light comes on along with the TC light. Need to figure out what could cause this problem. It goes off and on. Some days it will not come on at all. The truck runs great if the error is on as well as if the error code is off.

Those come on to indicate there is an active ABS fault. You have to get it scanned to see what specifically the fault is.

I have a 09 Prostar that i have been told that the abs control unit mounted on the frame behind the cab, which is supposedly part of the anti-rollover??? is bad.
Does anyone know of a way to simple reprogram the system so that it is not looking for it or to by pass the unit in question?
