Hello All... Hope you are all well. I have a 1996 international 4700 dump, T444e, automatic.Electronic Engine Control fuse blows when key is turned to start position. I can jump starter with key in #1 position and engine cranks and runs. Engine warning lite comes on after 10-15 mins. Any ideas?

You have a short to ground on the start circuit.... Check exciter wires to solenoid and ECU

Are you blowing the 5 amp fuse in the fuse panel, or the 30 or 40 amp fuse in the battery box?

    QobiYashi Thanks this.

Also, check for a "diagnostics" push button. If you have one, turn the key on, push that button and watch for the Warn, and/or stop engine warning lights to start flashing. These are your flash codes for the fault (s) that are being logged.

It is the 10 amp fuse in the under dash fuse panel.

With key on, diagnostics button pushed, brake pressure lite remains on , engine warning lite flashes to oil/water lite

When you press the button the oil/water light will flash once to indicate the beginning of active codes. All fault codes are 3 digit numbers. The "WARN ENGINE" light will flash the number of each digit with a pause in between digits. For example, if the fault code is 253, you will see the WARN light flash 2 times, then a pause, then flash 5 times, then a pause, then flash 3 times. If there are more active codes the Oil/WATER light will flash once again to indicate another active code is coming. If there are no more active codes the the OIL/WATER light will flash 2 times to indicate the beginning of inactive or old codes. At this time, I am only interested in the active code. If you miss the beginning of the sequence you just have to wait for it to repeat itself. It will keep going through the list until you shut off the key.

Hello Heavyd- If I have done this correctly, these are the codes I have: 1-1-1
    1-3-5
    2-2-4
    6-2-2
    6-1-5
Do these codes exist and are plausible? Could the ign switch be bad? Thanks for your help; it is sincerely appreciated.
