This may sound funny, but often there is an awful odor that comes into the cabin of the truck. With no warning, an awful smell that can only be described as that from a skunk. And not just this truck, but other Prostars I've driven and my co-driver tells me that he has experienced it in other Internationals he's driven. Anybody got a clue? Is it harmful?
And this, usually it lasts only momentarily, but this morning it didn't subside as quickly as usual and I nearly gagged.
What's that putrid smell in my Prostar?

it just called passing gas, its a momentary thing. but its normal for prostars. the reason its normal is driving a prostar is so awful you just want to crap your pants.

Sure it's not your dirty socks and tidy whiteys needing a shower??? Just sayin'
All kidding aside. No clue. Never experienced any foul odors in my ProStars except when I had overindulged at Taco Bell.
Hope you find it.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Could be a bad battery? Had one short and boil and it was sickening. Just a thought

Dpf going through a regen? I drove an 08 9200 with dpf, every time it would regen it gave off an odor and the floor became very very hot. There were some Prostars in the fleet that actually melted the floor mats.

Check AC freon lines over the turbo area. On my Prostar it was small pinhole in the hose and AC oil drops on the hot turbo/ exhaust and get insihe thru the AC intake. Yes, it will wake you up so nasty.
